Hearts.  A long standing symbol representing something that human beings are innately capable of: love, compassion, pain, joy, and more.  It has been documented throughout history and continues to have a prominent place in modern life.  I placed a sterling silver heart on the back of the necklace.  It seemed to be the right place to add.  Then I added yellow gold filled wire to accentuate the sterling silver.  Black onyx beads, yellow gold filled beads and wire, sterling silver  bar, beads, and components, 16"
